The standard

Associate standards.

Faculty trust eFit because the people who represent it are honest, careful and professional. Every Campus Associate keeps these standards, and membership depends on them.

1. Disclosure

Every post, email, flyer, slide and spoken introduction states your relationship with eFit, in the content itself, where a reader sees it without clicking. The portal adds this sentence to every template:

I am an eFit Campus Associate and may earn a commission if your program adopts eFit.

Acceptable

"Our department moved activity grading into eFit last year and I now represent it as a Campus Associate. I am an eFit Campus Associate and may earn a commission if your program adopts eFit. Happy to show you the free demo."

Withheld

A post praising eFit with the disclosure hidden in a profile bio, a link-in-bio page, or a hashtag at the end of a long block of tags.

2. Claims you may make

Use the facts published on efit.software and in your portal library. Current essentials:

  • Faculty accounts are free. Student access is $59 per student, per semester.
  • Programs pay in one of three ways: students buy direct from eFit, the campus bookstore sells an access code, or the institution purchases seats.
  • Activity is graded automatically from steps and eFit Minutes, tracked by phone through Google Health or Apple Health, and any tracker that syncs to Google Health works.
  • The course includes twelve interactive 3D labs, narrated module videos, the Walking Journey, pre and post fitness assessments, and a completion certificate.
  • Grades export as a CSV file that imports into D2L, Canvas, Blackboard and Moodle gradebooks.

Outcome guarantees, statistics you cannot source to an eFit page, named customers, and personal income figures are outside the standards. When in doubt, ask the program team in your portal first.

3. Student privacy

Associates work at the institution level. You never request, receive, view or store student records, grades or health data. Demonstrations use the sample data in the free demo. Screenshots of a real class are never shared. Questions about FERPA and security go to eFit's security page and the eFit team.

4. Outreach conduct

  • Email people you know professionally, one person at a time, from your own account. Stop a sequence the moment someone asks.
  • Identify yourself as an independent Campus Associate. You are not eFit staff and you cannot set prices, discounts or contract terms.
  • Respect each institution's procurement and adoption process.

5. Brand and advertising

  • Use the logos, images, films and copy supplied in the portal, unaltered in meaning.
  • Paid search ads on eFit names or misspellings, coupon and deal sites, incentive traffic, and domains or social accounts that use the eFit name are outside the standards.
  • Paid social ads that point to your tracked link are welcome when they carry your disclosure and use approved creative.

6. How attribution works

  • A visit through your tracked link is associated with you for 180 days.
  • An institution you register is protected for 180 days once the program team confirms it. The first confirmed registration for a department takes priority.
  • When a program adopts eFit, the team attributes it to you. Programs that were already eFit customers are attributed only when the team grants it.
  • Attribution decisions by the program team are final, and every decision is recorded.

7. Associate agreement (version 2026-09)

Associates accept these terms when they activate their portal.

  1. Relationship. You are an independent contractor. Nothing creates employment, agency, partnership or a joint venture. You choose whom to approach and when, and you are responsible for your own expenses and taxes.
  2. Commission. eFit pays the commission rate stated in your acceptance on money eFit actually collects from programs attributed to you, for every term those programs pay while your membership is active. Each program keeps the rate in effect when it was attributed. Taxes collected, processor fees charged separately, and amounts eFit does not receive are excluded.
  3. Holds, refunds and chargebacks. Commission is held for 30 days after collection. Refunds and chargebacks reverse the related commission at the original rate, including after payout, and are offset against future payouts.
  4. Payouts. Monthly, on the 15th, for balances that have cleared the hold, once the payable balance reaches $50.00. A completed tax form (W-9 or W-8) is required before the first payout.
  5. Changes. eFit may change program terms for newly accepted associates and future attributions with notice in the portal. Commission already earned is unaffected.
  6. Standards. You follow these associate standards. eFit may withhold commission connected to a violation while it is reviewed, and may end a membership for violations.
  7. Ending membership. Either party may end the membership with written notice. Commission earned on collections received before the end date is paid under these terms.
  8. License. eFit grants a limited, revocable license to use supplied materials only to represent eFit under these terms.
  9. Confidentiality. Pricing discussions, pipeline information and portal content are confidential.
