What students pay for a fitness and wellness course

Three ways for students to pay

Directly from eFit

Students buy access when they sign up in the first week. Nothing for the department or the bookstore to process. A good fit for a pilot section.

Campus bookstore

The bookstore stocks an access code with your other course materials, so students can use financial aid. Send us your bookstore contact and the term, and we send back the listing details.

Department-funded seats

The department or college buys seats in bulk on one invoice or purchase order, quoted per institution. Students pay nothing at all. This suits dual credit sections and grant-funded courses.

Does your college run First Day, IncludED, STAR, or another course-materials program?

Contact us before your adoption deadline. We will work with your bookstore on how eFit is listed so students are charged once, through the program your college already uses.

Already using open textbooks?

Keep them. A department can assign an open reading and use eFit as the lab: activity tracking, fitness assessments, the 3D labs, and the Walking Journey. If the course must stay at zero cost for students, the department can fund seats in bulk.

  • No device to buy: a phone counts steps on its own
  • Faculty accounts are free
  • No license fee for the department or the college

Questions faculty ask

Is there any cost to the department?

No license fee. Faculty accounts are free. The department pays only if it chooses to buy student seats in bulk.

What does the student price include?

Everything in the course: the eBook with 8 narrated modules, 12 interactive 3D labs, the Walking Journey, pre and post fitness assessments, automatic activity tracking, PocketAI Journal reflections, and the completion certificate.

Can students use financial aid?

Yes, when the campus bookstore stocks an eFit access code with your other course materials.

How do bulk seats work?

Tell us the expected headcount per term and the academic year. We quote per institution on one invoice or purchase order your business office can process, and your program distributes the seats.

Do students need to buy a tracker?

No. A phone counts steps on its own through Google Health or Apple Health. Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, and Samsung trackers work too.
