The Walking Journey turns the class's steps into progress along a real trail.
12 interactive 3D labs
Each lab asks students to predict a result, then change the inputs and check. The labs follow the eBook, and every one works with a keyboard, has a pause control for motion, and includes a full text description for screen reader users.

8 modules with narrated videos
The eBook covers the topics of an introductory fitness and wellness course. Each module has a narrated summary video, audio narration, slides, and its 3D labs.
- Health and wellness concepts
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Muscular strength and endurance
- Nutrition and weight management
- Flexibility, plus current fitness topics and wellness issues
Every module opens with a narrated summary video.
A Walking Journey for the whole class
Every new activity tracker gets a journey fitted to the class's step goal. Students watch their progress along trails such as the Appalachian Trail in Georgia, the John Muir Trail, Hadrian's Wall, or the Camino de Santiago, on a map or in 3D. You can also map a route that starts at your own campus.
- Set up automatically for every class
- Classmates appear as unnamed markers once five or more are walking
- Milestones along the way keep the term moving
The same journey in 3D view.
And the parts that keep the course running
Activity that scores itself
Steps and active minutes arrive from Google Health or Apple Health. By default the best 5 of 7 days count each week, and students earn the higher of their steps score or their minutes score.
Pre and post fitness assessments
The 1-mile walk with VO2max, push-ups, and plank at the start and end of the term, with the change shown for each test.
PocketAI Journal and a certificate
Students reflect on their progress in the PocketAI Journal and earn a completion certificate at 70% or higher on the activity tracker.
